password reset and ISP firmware push

Stupid question, but I reset the modem's password. That should not interfere with my ISP being able to push firmware updates, right? I mean, the password is just for the http admin UI, right?

   Right.  Your ISP can do practically any damage it might wish without
worrying about any password set by you.
