MR1100ATT ethernet port not working

I have a MR1100ATT. This Mobile wireless wifi hotspot is my only source of internet. I'm wanting to connect a laptop to it via the ethernet port but it won't work. When I go to the  wifimanager to check the settings, in the Dashboard it simply says "Ethernet: Not Connected"

How to I enable the Ethernet port so I can connect my laptop via hardwire instead of WiFi?

    Hi Drail14me

    Welcome to NETGEAR Community!

Just want to check if you are using the USB as a charging port for your MR1100. If so, kindly disconnect the USB cable then check if you can go online wired to the MR1100.

      Thanks for the note Blanca.

It appears that it was a bad port. ATT sent me a new one and it's working fine.

      Blanca_0,

I am not able to get internet through the Ethernet port even with the USB charging plug disconnected.

Also, this is the second MR1100ATT that has had this problem. I was not able to get the Ethernet port on the last one to work so AT&T sent a replacement claiming the old one had a bad Ethernet port. The new one does not work either.

        Hi Drail14me

Just to clarify, the Ethernet port of the replacement unit never worked.

        Do you WiFi connection?

Please provide the device SKU (e.g MR1100-2A1NAS) and firmware version.

  • Hii,

When you are using an Ethernet connection indigocard, you can use the USB type C cable and the AC adapter to Such USB devices do not work with the mobile router.
