MR6400 many many many issues
- turns on airplane mode by itself, usually right after first time logging in to admin page.
- wifi broadcast stops. Wifi shows as on in device, but it doesn't broadcast.
- turns off ethernet by itself.
- mobile connection disconnects randomly, shows as connected on LCD but disconnected on admin page.
Basically it has a life of its own.
The firmware version is from more than 6 months ago, and it says it's up to date!
Version NTGX65_10.01.41.02
Absolutely horrible.

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
Hello
if you have so many issues you can reset it
With the Router powered on, press and hold the WPS/RESET button (more than 10 seconds) until the SYS LED becomes quick-flash from slow-flash. Then release the button and wait the Router to reboot to its factory default settings.
may be come down your issues.

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
The MR6400 is not one of the WiFi 6 routers covered here.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

For Dish MR6400, we are going to release a new FW update later this month. We are waiting for Dish's technical approval.
Thanks

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
Thank you, could you please share what are the changes in this firmware? or, at least, if it covers the issues I listed?

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
The new update will resolve some of the issues you listed, such as data connection issue, etc. For the other issues, we need to check further. I suggest to wait and try the new FW update later. If the issues are persistent, we can debug further.
Thanks

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
One more issue: the checkbox for data roaming can't be clicked (it stays unchecked). No error message, no explanation, it simply doesn't check/click.
I would like to remind that I do not work for Netgear (not a tester), and I actually paid for the product, that does not seem to have been tested enough to hit the market. This is not OK.

If you suspect the device doesn't work as expected, please work with Dish to have the device replaced.

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
Thanks, but it's new. It seems very clearly to be bad firmware (I see other reports of MR6400 being very unstable).
We are paying to be testers of this product.

Re: MR6400 many many many issues
Another evidence this hotspot is unfinished but sold at a high cost.
Nice job.
