NETGEAR Nighthawk M1 - Google Fi - not getting on the network

I bought the M1 router in Europe (unlocked) and put the Google Fi sim card in. It worked fine with APN h2g2. Then added another sim from Danish Telmore. Now back in the US and are trying to get Google Fi to work with the router and it seems like nothing work. I think I got the latest firmware: NTG9X50C_12.06.12.00. Have tried to reset, take sim card out (and test it in another device). It almost seems like the device is not letting the sim connect to the network. (I can see its getting a signal). Anyone with an idea on how to try to troubleshoot?
