We have purchased two MR6550 devices and are using Verizon SIM cards. The MR6550 shows connected via Mobile. However, connected devices to cannot reach the internet. We've went back and forth with Verizon support and they have not been able to remedy. The devices are running FW NTGX65_12.01.47.00. That appears to be the latest.
Before I return the devices, has anyone else encountered the same issue?
Thanks.

Verizon certifications are more complicated than thought. They have retail certifications for their retail stocked devices and ODI certification for Business customers. With different Verizon certs, the available data plans are different as well. That makes supporting Verizon customers more challenging. Also they have different plans for pre-paid and post-paid and the devices that are eligible for pre-paid may not be used for post-paid and vice versa. We are still working with Verizon to sort out the data plan issues.

Honestly, I have no idea why Verizon requires an additional registation step - this is extremely customer-unfriendly, considering these are fully unlocked devices. @ChristineT and @JohnPeng please bring some light in here. At the same time, ensure your customers are getting the latest and current firmware for thier M6 and M6 Pro devices please, too.

Re: Netgear M6 Pro MR6550 - Verizon Connection Issues
I have gone round and round with Verizon the past few days and it appears that the MR6550 can only be used with Verizon postpaid accounts but not prepaid. Is there any possibility that Verizon will allow them to be used with prepaid accounts any time soon? It appears others have gotten around this issue by activating a SIM using an approved prepaid hotspot device and then swapping the SIM into the MR6550 using APN VZWINTERNET.
