Based on the release information, you are using AT&T M6. Could you please do a manual upgrade check? Your device should be able to upgraded to a newer release with the fixes you mentioned above.

 

If the device can't find the update, please provide the model.json file and send PM to me.


- Logon to the webui (http://192.168.1.1 ) as an administrator
- Navigate to URL http://192.168.1.1/model.json via the same browser window
- Capture the results (by selecting all + copy) and send it back

The upgrade just makes everything worse. You lose control of your own device.

Thanks Netgear and their "incredible" service! You were fooled purchasing the M6.

I’m having a similar issue. M6 Pro MR6500 through Firstnet. Device works great after reboot for several hours, then only certain devices stop working (for example my phone and half my security cameras won’t work but show they are connected, but TV and smart home devices work fine). I have my json file ready to go in an email if it helps.

I am having same issues.  My M6 Pro through ATT was working fine for several months, then started dropping connections more and more frequently.  Now it sometimes lasts only a few minutes before I have to re-start it.

Firmware Build Date: 2023/01/11

I'm having the same issue... Sometimes can't even connect to open WiFi networks but when I do it only stays connected, like others, for an hour or two tops.

Has there been any traction on this issue at all for those who have submitted a JSON?  It works for a little bit but inevitably has disconnected every single time I have used this to livestream video. I never know when it will happen, I just know for sure it WILL disconnect every single time I livestream and requires a reboot which feels like it takes forever. I purchased this to become more reliable vs just using my Android phone as a hotspot, but have since switched back to my phone for more reliability.   

So frustrating. Nobody has any answers.

Not to speak for netgear but yes new beta firmware fixes the problems. I was told it was sent to att and once approved by them it would be out

Hi John,

 

I'm having a similar issue with a MR6110 - intermittent disconnects.  I noticed that my firmware seems pretty far out of date - but when I do a manual check to see if it's up to date it says it's current.  Is there a way to do this that that I could convince the device to look for and take the latest update?

 

My firmware is NTGX65_10.01.47.00 BUILD Date 2022/07/08  Hardware v 1.0, PRI 01.13

 

Any help appreciated.

You have been fooled purchasing a Netgear M6.

It's an unfinished product full of issues and poor support.

Netgear has been deleting criticism, so this forum is also manipulated by Netgear.

Think if you really want to give them your money.

If you can, return the device as defective.

There's a week left to return it, so I will wait a few more days if this working beta firmware really exists and if they'll send it to me, otherwise it will be sent back.

What a pity, this thing has so much power and it would be really worth the 1k for me - but only if it works stable, not if it looses connection at least once a day 😣

Tried to return this back to Bestbuy today, only to find out there is only a 14 day return policy on it and yesterday was the 14th day.  Everything I read about this router before I purchased it were people warning others not to purchase it due to all of the unresolved issues and Netgear support basically hanging up on people and  refusing to help. 

I didn't listen and now I am stuck with a non-usable square brick that is only 2 weeks old. I have noticed that the negative feedback on this product has really picked up over the last few weeks as well. 

So incredibly disappointing

I have to say that this has led me to reconsider my purchase of an M6.  I was expecting reliability but, alas, it doesn't seem to be here.  I will keep monitoring this thread to see if there is resolution to this issue.  If things change then I'll reconsider as the M6 promises to be worthwhile once these issues are worked out.

Issues with Netgear M6 have been going on for many months. Netgear is not interested or incapable of fixing them.

So many people lost their money invested.
