MR1100 – Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router, I am getting 'this app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of android' when trying to install the app to manage it.

I just installed the netgear mobile app on my android 11 and 12 device.

Android version 13, this is what the store on my PC shows. The app won't even appear on my phones store because it is not supported.

I have the same problem, app does not show on the play store. Phone is running Android 13. 

Getting the same 'this app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of android'

Starting from November 2022, apps that don't target an API level within two years of the latest Android release won't be available to new users with devices running Android versions newer than the app's target API level.

I still have it installed on another phone with the same Android version so looks like the publisher just needs to bump the target version and republish.

Same issue on Android 12.  Netgear is aware of this issue and choosing to ignore it.  Maybe when sales are soft they will decide to actually go to work on this.

The app is installed but it will not open, it keeps on trying to open.

What can I do?

Uninstall then reinstall.

Seems to be the standard ploy when an app fails.
