D7000v1 5.0Ghz channel dropping out. 2.4ghz runs fine
Ok, can't find any answers anywhere else, so here goes. I'm running a Nighthawk D7000v1 Firmware V1.0.1.70_1.0.1 and for the last 6+ months the 5Ghz network occasionally (2-3 times per week) drops my internet connection. The 2.4Ghz network runs like nothing is wrong. To restore the connection I need to disconnect and reconnect to my 5Ghz channel. I've tried factory reset with out success. Physically my router is only 2m away from my computer with direct LOS, no walls to impede the signal.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might be better off posting this in the DSL Modem forum here, https://community.netgear.com/t5/DSL-Modems-Routers/bd-p/home-dsl-modems-routers. Someone there with experience on that modem/router might be able to help.
