That does suggest that the current problem was caused by the
(unspecified) ISP.

Disappointing, but not a guarantee that the D7000v2 is at fault.

"used" where, exactly?

That's typical for a Netgear router. (Among other things, that lets
it intercept queries about names like "routerlogin.net".)

Assuming that your D7000v2 looks like my D7000[v1], does BASIC >
Internet : Domain Name Server (DNS) Address show you the IP address(es)
of the DNS server(s) it's using?

Does a wired client device do any better than a wireless one?

Hi antinode.
Thanks for your reply. I setup the DNS first to use the DNS IPs provided by ISP. Then I used Google public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
The Netgear setup utility is the same accross its products I assume so) so mainly yes. The DNS IPs are shown in the Internet Settings tab of Admin utility.
