D7800 Firmware Version 1.0.1.31

D7800 Firmware Version 1.0.1.31
Hi All

Does anybody know how stable the new D7800 Firmware Version 1.0.1.31 firmware is when connected to the BT or Sky UK fiber network?

Has anyone tried the latest firmware on VDSL?

It is just over a week old, so it should have dealt with any earlier issues.

Do not rely on the useless "Bug Fixes" description in the release notes. Netgear never tells us anything about what new firmware really does.

Thanks All

Just don't wish to update from my stable version 1.0.1.20, unless there's a good reason.

Re: D7800 Firmware Version 1.0.1.31

It is up to you. The latest round of firmware is mostly there to fix the WPA2/KRACK issue that seems to give some people a fit of the heeby jeebies, even when it is hard to exploit and, according to all the major device makers, doesn't affect devices in router mode.

If you don't mind living with WPA2/KRACK security hole, fine. And if I owned a D7000 or an R7000 (I have an R7000P here waiting for some tests) I might be reluctant to try new firmware. But in the case of the D7800 it does seem that rolling back a version restores sanity.

The real reason for trying the new firmware is that the firmware version of the D7800 before the most recent simply won't work with BT's VDSL. Maybe the latest firmware mends things. That's why I asked.
