Re: D7800 Openvpn not connecting after 1.0.1.28 upgrade

Did you revert back to the old firmware and test if it will connect again?

Betreff: D7800 Openvpn not connecting after 1.0.1.28 upgrade

Hi Adham,

I've experienced a similar problem and was able to solve it.

I've previously updated my D7800 to V1.0.1.31 (https://kb.netgear.com/000053194/). And after the update was successfull and the D7800's boot sequence was done, I've tried to use the OpenVPN connection. But the clients didn't want to connect.

So, I used a telnet connection to look into the logs. And I saw, that the datetime info in each log entry was from the 1970s.

Please make sure that you've set the time zone correctly.

Capture-3

Hit apply - although it might already be set correctly.

see e.g.: https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers/Setting-the-time-on-the-Router/td-p/398056

Have fun!

PS: By the way, please update your OpenVPN client to 2.4.4 (see https://openvpn.net/index.php/download/community-downloads.html)
