DM200 - Does not work unless you go through setup wizard.

I have a DM200 ADSL modem the has several problems.

If you run the automatic setup wizard, the modem connects and is fine, until power is disconnected/outage. After that happens, the settings are still all correct in the modem, but it will not connect to isp. I must go back through the setup wizard.

If you backup the modem while it is working, and then try to restore that backup after a power outage, that backup will not work. If while it is working, I make a change to pretty much any setting, it saves, but then will not connect to isp anymore.

I've never seen anything like this before. In the setup menu while it is not working, it simply says disconnected with no network info. All blank. Attempt to reconnect and it looks like it is trying for a second, but then it doesn't do anything. This is really frustrating.

Hope someone can help, but I"m seriously considering getting another modem.

What firmware do you have? Is it the latest?

Get the latest, and other stuff, here:

Even if you do have the latest, there is no harm in manually applying it again.

I have seen complaints here about symptoms like that for other devices. Not sure that it is one of what seems to be a pile of issues that people have had with the DM200, which seems to have had more than its fair share of problems.

The firmware installed is V1.0.0.44 which is the latest.
