Netgear D6400 DSL Wireless Modem Connection issues

Hello, I hope you can help me. I have a  Netgear D6400 DSL Wireless Modem. I have a laptop running win10, a Kendel tablet and my anroid phone. I can connect wirelessly with my tablet and my phone. I can not connect with my laptop or my husband's laptop wirelessly. It works if I hardwire to the modem. Any suggestions?

Can the laptops see the wifi?

Can they see wifi from other things? If not have you checked that the laptops have up to date drivers for their wifi hardware?
