Hello Smithg38
Are you updating it on a PC that is connected via ethernet to the router if not try that. But sometimes you may have to back up your config file on the router then factory reset the router then update it.

Hello Blewitt
I would check with your ISP see if they have changed anything in your area.

This is a new cabinet which only started accepting orders for fibre last July.
Will try again though.

I am currently awaiting an IP reset from BT to see if that makes a difference.

Hello Blewitt
There also is a new firmware out 1.0.1.16 may want to try that see if it resolves the issue.

Re: Netgear nighthawk d7800 attenuation problem
Hi DarrenM
I wonder if you can help me.
I have seen there is a firmware update for the D7800 - however, my actual unit will not update automatically or manually?
I have downloaded the newest firmware and tried to upload it but to no avail. I just receive a message saying please wait. I left it going overnight just in case but the firmware will not take.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Re: Netgear nighthawk d7800 attenuation problem
Thank you DarrenM - I did the factory reset (backing up my settings first) and then ran the firmware updater as you suggested. My f/w is now the latest version available and all works fine.
