Nighthawk D7000 does not recognize DSL after firmware update

Just updated my D7000 V2 from firmware version 10.0.0.51 to 53. After the update it no longer recognises the DSL cable. The twisted cable light is not lighting up whatsoever.

I know this works as I've tested another router using the same cable. Is there a way of going back to 10.0.0.51?

   Settings reset (and manual configuration)?

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for "Factory Settings"
(or "reset").

for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for

OK. Firmware took.

I assume that you have tried the factory reset suggested earlier. There is a more severe recovery reset:

• Press reset for 30 seconds
• Keep pressing reset while removing power
• Keep pressing reset for another 30 seconds while apply power

Then there is the previous firmware. Tried that?

You say you have confirmed that the DSL line is OK, but we all have spare cables lying around, so I see if another worked better. Then there is the DSL filter.
