WNDR 3700 as a access point behind DGND 3700
Hi,
I have read multiple threads on this issue, and tried their fixes, but i can't seem to make my setup work.
I have my DGND3700 performing the routing (wired and wireless) and am just wanting my WNDR 3700 to act as a switch/access point (wired).
I have set the WNDR's IP address outside the DGND's routing range.
I have turned DHCP off on the WNDR.
The internet LAN cable is not plugged into the WAN port.
The WNDR is fine with all the changes I make until I connect the internet LAN cable. When connected I can no longer access the WNDR's IP address to make changes, I can't access the internet and it says I am connected to a public domain.
Please help as it is quite frustrating!
Thanks

Yes,
I have seen you post this many times!
And I have tried it and for some reason it doesn't work in my situation...
Any Ideas why?
I also followed http://vpncasestudy.com/download/usefuldoc/how_to_access_point.pdf
and couldn't get it to work.
Is there a problem with my WNDR?

What is the DGND range, and what is set for the WNDR?

Re: WNDR 3700 as a access point behind DGND 3700
The WNDR3700 doesn’t need an Internet connection to function, so with it factory reset two PCs hard wired to it via Ethernet cable should be allocated IP addresses and be able to communicate with each other (or you could set each with a static IP and use the current configuration). It may be worthwhile trying this before proceeding, and a change of cable for the port blinking amber might be a good thing to try. It seems like you have a hardware issue to me.
