Hello hunkemd
Can you give more detail on the issue you are having with the CM500.

Re: why is my new CM500 modem more than 50% slower than my comcast Arris tg862.
DarrenM,
I have Xfinity cable. I did a speed test before I swaped modems and the (Xfinity) Arris TG862 was at 89 MPS download and 12 MPS upload. When I installed the CM500 I did several more speed tests and the best I could get was 36MPS download and 8 MPS upload. I have reinstalled the Arris (Xfinity) modem I was un happy with the performance of the CM500.

Hello hunkemd
Did you check the levels in the settings of the CM500 to see if anything was off when you had it hooked up?

No I did not check any levels. There were no troubleshooting tips for slow speed. What levels do I need to check and what are the acceptable levels?

Hello hunkemd
You will need to log into the modem by going to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1 then login with admin/password
