Can't Factory Reset WNDR3700v4 after power outage

Hi,

After a power outage my router (model WNDR3700v4) cannot be factory reset. I have attempted the 30-30-30 power cycle by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds, then unplug for 30 while keeping reset button pressed, and then plugging back in for 30 seconds with reset button pressed. With nothing plugged into the router except the power cord, all the lights are steady on (channels 1-5, the 5 GHz light, and USB light are steady on) except the internet light is off. The power light is stready green. Is the router fried? I thought the power light would be amber or show a different color if there was a fault. I confirmed with an older router I had lying around that the internet from the modem is functioning.

Any ideas?

Why are you trying to do that?  Can you communicate with the router's
management web site from a computer which is connected to it?  Are its
wireless-network SSIDs seen by working wireless devices?

Who?  Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number,
and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for the LED
descriptions and/or "Troubleshoot".  What does Netgear call these
indicators?  Do you have something plugged into the USB port (which
would justify the USB indicator being on)?

All those LED indicators are software-driven.  The router could be
too far gone to operate its LED indicators properly.

If you can't prod it into anything like a normal response, then it
may be time to go shopping.

There is a TFTP recovery scheme.  See, for example:

But your router could be beyond that, too.

Storms are excellent destroyers of electronics. And symptoms can manifest in different ways.

It sounds like you've tried most things other than replacing the power supply or trying tftp procedure to redo firmware.

you can try replacing the power supply if you have a matching one from a different device. Just make sure to match the voltage and amperage for your device.

Your other option is a tftp procedure to force the firmware back on it.

I wouldn't try to buy a new power supply as the wndr3700v4 is an older router and the $ to buy a new power supply is probably better aimed at a router upgrade or a surge protector for a new router.

If neither of these works and an older router does work, the storm might have won the battle.

Current Setup: CM2000-> RBK750-> GS716v2-> RAXE500-> Pi-hole->
