Has this been resolved? The GS105PE would perfect for our use case if it was designed reasonably, we need to power class 2 devices and devices that don't identify as class 2 but use 3W max as well. With the issue described, this doesn't work. It would be sufficient if the power sourcing ports could be configured to assume a specific power class if none is given. I guess even the GSS108EPP can do that (at least the data sheet says "User-defined PoE power limit per port (override detected Class)").
