RN31600 OS
Hello All,
I picked up today a RN316 (6 Bay NAS).
It works fine but has OS 4.2.31 on it.
I believe that it is meant to be able to have OS 6.x.y on it.
I havent been able to install OS 6 and when I boot it displays
"Legacy Boot Mode RAIDIATOR 4.2.31" on the screen.
Should I try USB Recovery with the OS6 on it???
Thanks
Mark

Re: RN31600 OS
Booting into RAIDiator-x86 4.2.31 would mean the previous owner put disks from a legacy x86 unit into the RN316 to recover data off the disks. A factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) using the boot menu should be enough to put OS6 onto the disks.

Thx - I'd overlooked that possibility, and of course a factory default is the right way to resolve it.
