Re: xr 1000 high ping
How are you measuring your ping exactly? Are you looking in-game or are you checking using something else?
Are you using QoS? If so, could you please share your configuration?
If you're using Geo-filter, could you please also share your configuration for that?

Re: xr 1000 high ping
Could you please share your QoS configuration? Just attach a screenshot if that's easier.
Are all device on the network connected to the XR/R2 when you're testing? Or do some devices still connect to the ISP router/modem?

Re: xr 1000 high ping
It doesn't make any sense because they are both hooked up and set up identical.I am using the same speeds and the same settings and Ethernet. cables. qos/geo filter/speeds every setting identical to each other.but my ping is way better with the r2 if i could use it.I.Iknow this is a netgear form but its pretty bad when they say i would have better ping for 300 more. dollars .

Re: xr 1000 high ping
What's the make and model of the ISP modem that the XR/R2 is connected to? Is it a router/modem combo or is it a pure modem (No Wi-Fi)

Re: xr 1000 high ping
The modem is a stand alone modem not a combo It's a netgear 1200 both routers hooked up the same.I cant hook up the r2 because my wife is worried she won't be able to work if i can't get it up and running as i had it before.

Re: xr 1000 high ping
Can you follow the below guide and run ping plotter tests to a local site through both the R2 and the XR. If you could please attach screenshots of the results for both that might tell us some more information.

Re: xr 1000 high ping
The base ping of the two is basically the same, were these done with the network under load or was the network fairly quiet at the time?
If it was fairly quiet, can you add a rule to Traffic Prioritisation for the device you're testing on and select the service "ICMP Ping".
Then, start a big download through something like Steam and run the test again.
If we can then compare these results with each other we can see how the router's are behaving under load.
