If you didn't face any issues you're in the minority.

Re: 7/29/21 - Firmware update 1.0.4.74
Well its been about a month and still no firmware update for this issue. I have been a loyal netgear customer for years and now I feel like they they have totally abandoned me. I am getting several "page not found" errors for each site I navigate, I can't believe they don't even allow me to file a support ticket since I am past the 12 months after I bought my router - this is ridiculous since THEIR firmware caused this issue. I guess I will revert to the last good firmware version.

Hopefully we get a fix soon.. Atleast Netgear is finally looking into this issue.

Oh is that so? How do you know this?
Probably because @Hopper15 read the earlier messages in this conversation:

Oh you mean the one with a url to yet another thread where netgear responded about a different router model different firmware ...
As @robjak also started earlier on, this issue has affected several different routers.
Perhaps the others have noticed this, searched the community for similar messages and made the connection.
But you probably knew that already:

Has anyone tried the new 1.0.4.76 fimare update? Does it fix this issue?

It probably does not. I tested a fix this morning but it has not yet been released. Hopefully soon.

Re: 7/29/21 - Firmware update 1.0.4.74
Can confirm that the new firmware has the same DNS issue as previous version (.74).
Would you be willing to share that test firmware with me?

Re: 7/29/21 - Firmware update 1.0.4.74
I'm betting even though there's a trail of tech support, I won't be given a partial refund for the Netgear Nighthawk they bricked with the update. I've already thrown it out, so no update will help me. I don't think I should be expected to deal with that DNS crap for months while they figure it out.

FW was for the 8300. It will not work on the 8000.

Re: 7/29/21 - Firmware update 1.0.4.74
Fairly certain that winancy's router had issues with DNS even after the roll back of FW. so once it did the update he was stuck with the DNS problem. He had no recourse but to replace the router. In my case, the roll back fixed my issue.

Re: 7/29/21 - Firmware update 1.0.4.74
I have the same difficulty and turned into making plans to record a support ticket most effective to find out that Netgear presents aid for best one year after purchasing aproduct. Surely there must be a way to report a assist price ticket for firmware replace issues?
