AC1900 Router not working with CM 1000 V2 modem

In November I updated my internet speed from 200 to 500Mbs.  This required the purchase of a new modem, and at this time I purchased the CM 1000 V2 Netgear modem.  My cat finished her vendetta against our netgear router, and knocked it off the table, and although working for awhile it finally started to fade.  So  I decided to switch to Google Nest.

Fast forward three months, and I took the Nest router back.  I had no idea how difficult Google would make it to adjust any setting on the router whatsoever.

I decided to go back to Netgear and purchased the AC1900.  I set everything up and kept the same network name, and for the first 12 hours I had the router the WIFI was working, although I was not acheiving the speeds that I should have.  The network was working as of AM 1/3/2022.  As of yesterday afternoon while I was at work, the WiFi stopped working.  I've power cycled several times to no avail.  Our IP says that do not see any issues on their end.

Do these two products not work well together?  Do I need to take the router back and find one that works specifically with the CM 1000 V2 modem?  Even with a wired connection directly into the modem I can not get a connection greater than 285Mbs. I had to reset the modem just to get the wired connection to work.   Both the router and modem are showing all the correct lights.  I signed into my modem and it tells me my cable is good.

I'm beginning to think I may have a faulty modem, but I thought I would start on the forum before checking with other tech support options.

Thanks everyone.
