Advanced QOS: download speed capped at uplink bandwidth
I am trying to setup a working QOS to decrease buffer bloat for online gaming. Currently I have one PC connected via ethernet, a few phones, a few tvs/laptops and a thermostat setup all on wifi.
internet plan: Rogers gigabit (1000 down/30 up)
Router: R7000 AC1900
Firmware Version
V1.0.11.123_10.2.100
I have clicked on advanced qos and input the uplink bandwidth as 25. I have added qos by device to ensure my PC is highest followed by 2 of the most used tvs/phones and put the thermostat on low priority. (everything else is medium)
When i do a speedtest the download speed is capped at 25 mbs same as the uplink bandwidth ive set. Should this not only cap the upload speed? Have I done something incorrect ?
*side note: should WMM be enabled with the qos by device rules set up?
thanks for the help!
