Hi @ShaggyRogers,
I was able to do some tests using the same version of Android and router firmware version and did not encounter any issues. Please try performing a firmware re-flash then reset and reconfigure the router. You may refer to the links below for the steps.

Re: Android 5.1 Genie App Login Failure
Hi @ShaggyRogers,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of your router?
2. What is the version of the NETGEAR Genie app that you have installed?
3. Are there other devices (computers) that are able to login through the program/app?
4. Was it working before with the Android 5.1 phones?
5. What are the model numbers of those devices?
Regards,
Dexter

Re: Android 5.1 Genie App Login Failure
Firmware Version: V1.0.5.48
Android 5.1 devices fail login stating router busy try again later. All previous Android devices login just fine, including kindle fire HDX. Not isolated incident as per numerous other customer statements.
I can get by for now using my older devices. Would eventually like support for my barn new Android 5.1 phones.

Re: Android 5.1 Genie App Login Failure
Hi @ShaggyRogers,
1. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app?
2. Did you modify the router password?

Re: Android 5.1 Genie App Login Failure
Not a password problem as multiple other devices that are not Android 5.1 login just fine. Resetting. Uninstall are ineffective. I've been unsuccessful south 2 different router updates to change this issue. Android 4.4.4.1 phone logs in just fine. Kindle Fire HDX 4.5.5.1 works just fine. Windows 10.1 works just fine. Have never been able to login from Android 5.1 devices. Genie App version 2.4.26
