Firmware Update Gone Wrong R700 AC1900

Ran latest Firmware Update on router.  As the progress bar was reaching it's end, I received a message that an error had occurred.  Since then, router is not giving off any wireless signal.  Attempted resetting by turning on/off router and modem.  Attempted Factory Reset, but router showed no change after holding for 7 seconds.

Not sure how to proceed.

What do the LED indicators indicate?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for
"Troubleshoot".

If you have the typical flashing Power indicator, then you may be a
candidate for the TFTP recovery scheme.  See, for example:

Re: Firmware Update Gone Wrong R700 AC1900

are you still able to log into the router via ethernet? If so you can go through the settings Advanced->administrative->backup->Erase and see if that helps.

Or you can downgrade the latest firmware. The R7000 .64 firmware has been having wireless issues. I think the .42 firmware's been getting the most positive reviews on the forums.

Re: Firmware Update Gone Wrong R700 AC1900

Attempted to connect to the internet through an ethernet cable, but received the error "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP Configuration.

To try and fix it:

Reset Winstock Protocol & TCP/IP Settings

Cleaned up all the Network Cached Files

Rebooted Router & Modem

No improvement.

Try 30 seconds.

The state of the power LED is a key indicator when a firmware flash fails.

If it is solid white, great, anything else is a cause for concern. It means that the firmware is corrupt.
