Internet, 2.4g, and 5G internet lights blink when I connect to the network - no wifi
My router shows solid white lights where needed, however, as soon as I connect to it, those three blink together until I disconnect from the network, and I have no internet connection whatsoever when I am connected. I connected my laptop and the modem through a cable and have perfect connection. I’ve already unplugged, restarted and reset both my modem and router, modem first as I had thought that was the problem. Nothing has worked and I’m at a loss, I’m not good with technology and haven’t found any chats where someone has dealt with this. No WiFi for two weeks now and I’m tired of trying to figure it out without any extra info. Please help!

1. what modem do you have?
2. what firmware is on the router?
3. do wired devices work?
4. are you able to access the routers GUI ?
- JaceOTAspirantI have a technicolor router from Atlantic Broadband model CGA4234. It worked together for over half a year previously, but I took a trip for two weeks and came back to the internet acting out. I can access everything on the app for it as long as it doesn’t require internet connection such as support. Nothing works wirelessly but when I connect my laptop to the modem I have perfect connection. When I selected to update firmware in case that was the problem it said there was no update.
that device is a modem/router combo device. IT causes a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.
