Looking for a router that I can switch off the wireless wifi
Hello! Im looking for a router, ideally a modem and router combo, where I can leave a few things plugged into the Ethernet ports - like a couple computers etc. which would give them internet 24/7.
While also being able to ‘flip a switch’ turning off the wireless Wi-Fi waves the device is emitting. But without just unplugging the router and shutting off the internet entirely.
Thank you

For a new hardware purchase, most experienced users would recommend against a combination modem/router unit.
Separate modem and router devices provide you with more flexibility in router selection and will meet your needs for an on/off Wi-Fi feature.
Look at your ISP's approved hardware list and pick a DOCSIS 3.1 modem with a 2.5 Gbps output port. Mate that up with Wi-Fi 6 capable router with a 2.5 Gbps input port. In the real world so far, Wi-Fi 6E has delivered more hype than substance. Wi-Fi 7 is in the pipeline but it is not proven in the real world.

I missed that bit. Definitely recommended to have separate boxes.
You never know when your ISP will suddenly decide to change its service. To genuine fibre to the home, for example. Or you move house to a different service, leaving you with a combined device with a useless front end.

It isn't always easy to spot it, because the switch also doubles as a wifi indicator.
This is also managed with the browser graphical user interface (GUI).
MESH routers don't all have this physical switch.
Some models let you set up a Wireless Schedule to turn the wifi on and off.
Start by looking for something that meets your other needs.
A good start could be the RAX range. They come in all shapes and sizes.

Thank youThe Netgear CAX80 is a combination modem/router unit that meets your criteria. The attached snip is from the user's manual. There is a Wi-Fi on/off button on the front panel.

Look into the RAX series of routers. Any modern model supports turning off WiFi by schedule. There are also physical buttons on a lot of models if you need to press something.
