I have a netgear router and a calix modem/router. I want to make it just a modem. I have called my isp and they are no help. I have logged into the default gateway and I have experience with network settings. How can I put it into strictly modem settings without the help of my isp? Thanks

That needs to put the router to bridge mode. Then the router becomes transparent. Unit acts like modem only. If you don't know how, ask your ISP.

You could try asking the Calix community. https://www.calix.com/my-calix.html
