Netgear AC1750
This unit was workin fine with Firmware version v1.0.4.84_10.0.58. I got the notice that there was a firmware upgrade available. I ran the upgrade and it completely bricked my unit. It now sits with flashing amber power light. I've tried to factory reset multiple times and manually TFTP the firmware update as well but tha fails at about 60%. I bought the unit in Oct 2019 so it is about 1 1/2 old and has been rendered useless by the update and it is no longer covered by Netgear warranty and you can't even get to them to say WTF, your update bricked my unit so help fix it please.

many things can go wrong with tftp.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash
one thing. This isn't netgear. this is the community support forum where members of the public try to help out.

Thank you for taking the time to reply plemans. I'm actually running it on a MAC. Yes I realize that this is the forum for members as I don't really anticipate Netgear actually assisting with the issue they caused with a crap firmware release. I may bring the unit to a different computer and try ftp from Windows.
I've never done it on a MAC but I've used tftp and nmrpflash several times on windows and its always worked for me.
