Netgear CM1000V2 Lan Port not recognizing router
Recently ran into a problem with my Netgear CM1000V2 cable modem.
It will not recognize any devices plugged into it via it's LAN port on the back.
It recognizes the internet service just fine, my ISP still sees it on the net.
I have tried three alternative cables and then three different devices (my orbi router, laptop, desktop.)
I have called tech support, but they wanted another 89.99 to try and tshoot it. As well, he stated a IP conflict. How could it be a IP conflict when clearly it hasn't passed layer 1. The hardware isn't functional.
Any suggestions are welcomed and if an employee of Netgear support sees this please reach out.

Which had been working as expected?

(using a known-good cable), does the Ethernet LED on the CM1000v2
indicate a good Ethernet physical link? Does that connected device
indicate (LED, software, ...) a good Ethernet physical link? If so,
then does that device get a proper IP address (et c.) from your ISP?> [...] As well, he stated a IP conflict. [...]
Sounds like nonsense. With only one device, it's tough to create a
conflict.Did you try the obvious stuff, like a settings reset, and the
"Troubleshooting" stuff in the User Manual?Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".
