Netgear Nighthawk x6 r8000 dropping wired connections
Running wired and wireless, have two desktops hard wired directly into the router. Have 3 desktops wired into a gigabit switch. Have numerous devices connected wirelessly (Alexa, TVs, Ring system).
In the last few weeks, all of a sudden, any time my husband or I turn our computer off or on or it falls asleep, it disconnects the other from the internet causing games etc to drop. We are the two computers hardwired directly into the router. What the heck is going on?

Its only the 2 devices hardwired into the router?
if you connect those devices to the switch, do you have issues?Only the two wired directly into the router. That's mine and my husband's computers, we want the fastest connection possible that's why we aren't even on the switch. Haven't tried us on the switch which has 3 additional computers wired into the switch. Will it effect our speeds? We play video games.
what switch is it?
If its a simple unmanaged gigabit switch, it shouldn't.Its mainly to testing to see if it causes issues.
