New Vs. old router

After installing my new NetGear 10
Many devises, Alexa included are still looking for the old NetGear 6.
When I try to “Forget this network.” The prompt is not there in the info box.
Any suggestions why? And how to get it solved? Thanks

What's that? Netgear doesn't make a "Netgear 10" router.

This sounds like you are trying to connect to a WiFi network. Netgear uses things like Netgear10 and NetGear6 – no space on the middle – for the default SSID address for routers.

 

The easiest way to add a new router without having to go through the hassle of changing all those connected things is to give the new router the same SSID and password as the old router for the WiFi.

 

This is a pretty simple task, and doing it will acquaint you with the guts of your router and the browser graphical user interface (GUI).

Feed in your model number (see above) and check the documentation for your hardware.
