      Hi,
      The r7500v2 was recently updated to Firmware Version 1.0.3.36. The change logs says that this update allows the router to work with the app.
      I think Netgear needs to update the app in order to support the router because I'm having the same issue.

        Perfectly correct - https://kb.netgear.com/000059531/R7500v2-Firmware-Version-1-0-3-36  release notes state

         

        New Features and Enhancements:

        1. Supports the Nighthawk app version 2.1

        And (for example) the Android version of the Nighthawk App is on some v2.2 for a while already.

        Thank you! That completely answers the question. My Nightawk AC2350 router R7500v2 is not on the compatability list for the Nighthawk App.

  • Yeah.. i have the same prob. the newer frimware update logs says it has support for new app but it doesnt.

      Same problem here with 7500v2, nighthawk 2.2, and latest router firmware.

        This was a mistake in the firmware notes but support for this router is coming soon.
