Nighthawk Loses WiFi signal

I have had this Nighthawk since 2015 and it was bullet proof until I installed Amour.  Then, nothing but problems even after I turned Armour off and tried to uninstall. My router is right next to my PC and for that reason, I decided to hardwire the PC to the Nighthawk.  All other devices in my house connect via wifi.  At random times, when my PC goes to sleep (not off, just standby) the wifi connection to all other devices stops.  I do see an amber light on the hardwire connection port of the nighthawk when the PC sleeps, so I move the mouse, the PC comes to life and so does my wifi connections.  This issue only started after I tried Armour.  


What are my options with this?  Should I do a factory reset (how?).


Thanks for any help with this.  Worse decision was to try Armour.

Press the reset button in back of the router for 10 seconds then release. Connect a wired PC to the router and setup from scratch.

Thanks.  Do you have experience with this issue and the factory reset option solves it or is this just an answer to my question about how to do a factory reset?
