    Tell us more.

    What does "never reconnect" mean?

Does the power come back on? (What does the power LED look like?)

Does it fail to connect to the modem? (What does the Internet LED look like?)

Is it the router that doesn't connect or the other things on the network?

What happens on the modem? Does that come on OK?

    What is that modem?

What firmware version do you have on your R6700 v2.

When we lost power last night… after it came back on… our router was not connected automatically… it takes numerous times to reconnect … is there a particular setting used that will re-connect the router in it’s own ???

Again, you do not tell us much.

There's a row of LEDs on the front of the thing that should provide some clues.

Power cuts usually take out both the modem and the router on a network. When the power comes back on, they may start up in the wrong order, with the router starting before the modem is ready. That means that they get confused about which is in charge.

It may help to reboot the whole network in the right order.

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

        • Turn off and unplug modem.
        • Turn off router and computers.
        • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
        • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
        • Turn on computers and rest of network.
