Nighthawk R7000 NAS: Does it support UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol)?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if the USB 3.0 network storage on the Nighthawk AC1900/R7000 supports USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP). I'm upgrading my storage, and would get an enclosure that supports this to maximize transfer speed, if so.

You're not going to get much out of the R7000 for storage performance. 

You can check the tested speeds that have been achieved.

if you're wanting fast speeds, an actual NAS or server is a better option.

Thanks for the reply. That test doesn't seem to specify whether they actually used a USB 3.0 drive in the 3.0 port. I wonder if it would be faster. I'll look into getting a seperate NAS. Appreciate the advice.

the link in the storage paragraph goes over nas testing procedures. 

Both products have one USB 2.0 port and one USB 3.0. Windows filecopy tests were run using the standard NAS testbed connected to a router Gigabit LAN port and the standard USB drive formatted in FAT32 and NTFS [NAS test details]. Tests were run connected with the USB drive connected to both the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.
