Power Surge with NIghthawk AC2300 model: R7000P

Question

Power surge yesterday.&nbsp; &nbsp;Netgear router turns ons, but does not produce wifi connection (i.e. no SSID showing up on devices).&nbsp; Connected to cable modem.&nbsp;Everything else works fine - I hooked up an older Netgear router today and wi fi signals are good and we are connected.&nbsp;Any advice on what I could troubleshoot?

Power surges are great at wrecking electronics.&nbsp;
The only other thing I'd try would be using tftp/nmrpflash to force firmware to it. If the surge corrupted the firmware, you'd need to do something like that to correct it.

Does 192.168.1.1 work to access the routers web page?&nbsp;

If not and the recover mode mentioned by&nbsp;plemans&nbsp;doesn't work, I would presume the router is busted. :smileysad:

Try a different power adapter with same volts and amps.&nbsp;
Factory reset the router by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then release and setup from scratch.&nbsp;

Have you tried pushing and holding the wifi on/off button for 2 seconds?&nbsp;

Thank you for the reply.1) I tried a different power adpapter - did not resolve the problem2) I did factory reset, but I cannot even get into the router setup any longer via a browser (http://www.routerlogin.net)
