R6220 firmware version VR6220-V1.1.0.110_1.0.1
My router was working fine until I installed an update through the nighthawk app. After the install the router quit working all together. I still have internet and tried to reset the router to no avail. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't understand that. If the router quit working how come you still have Internet?
Do you mean on something else? On a modem?
If so, what is that modem?
What do the LEDs on the R6220 look like?
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Check the section in the manual Troubleshoot With the LEDs.

I mean't to say I am able to access intenet directly from LAN. The status of LED's is except the USB Icon all the other are off.
Thanks for the reference you provided let me check through that in the manual.

I am none the wiser. Access Internet with what? The router?
