Re: R6700 crashing every day
Hi crash100,
When you say crash, you mean the router reboots?
Try to reset the router to factory default and reconfigure.

Re: R6700 crashing every day
Crash means I see an open window with a huge mess of code for a report that is automatically sent to Apple when I click "Reopen" -- and it starts right back up quickly.

I would love to reset to factory default, but I don't see that option. Is that what the "reset" button on the router does? But, I will try that reset and see what happens.
Thanks for your reply.

Re: R6700 crashing every day
Still crashing multiple times every day. I did a factory reset yesterday, but it is still crashing, or quitting everyday.
I have had this router since August 2015 and it has performed with no problem. Also, bought a new iMac running Sierra in Nov 2016, but this crashing thing only started during the past month or so, after another firmware update.
If I could upload a file I could show the screen shot of part of the crash report, but I do not see a way to add anything. Can't cut and paste anything. Window states "Netgear quite unexpectedly." It always reopens immediately upon clicking "Reopen." But, a pain.

Re: R6700 crashing every day
OK, the two menu options showing in your "Body pane", in between the Insert Link and Numbered List, (Insert image being the one you are pointing out), do not show up on my Menu pane. I am using Chrome. I tried Safari and the same problem. So, while that option to Insert Image should be there it is not there for me. Now what?
The screen shot file is .png -- is there another way to handle it?
As I am typing right now NetgearGenie quite unexpectedly, for no apparent reeason.???

Re: R6700 crashing every day
Here's a link to a Google Drive folder with four screen shots "Netgeargenie quite unexpectedly"

Now I am wondering if this is not the router but Netgeargenie having some problem with my Mac OS (Sierra)?
Thank you for your ongoing help.

Re: R6700 crashing every day
Now I feel stupid regarding this series of posts. It is not the router that is crashing at all, but the app, NetgearGenie. Continues to quit often and unpredictably.
