R6700 - not able to connect to internet

I'm having problems replacing my Router R6120 with the R6700. I've connected it the same way as previously done, to the ARRIS SB6141 Modem and even though it gets the Wi-Fi connection, it does not connect to the Internet.

Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Hi Frojas44,

What is the color of the Internet LED status? I suggest to run the setup wizard so that it will determine the type of connection. Please click this link as your reference. If Setup wizard failed, kindly provide the error message.

Did you go through the complete reset process? You can't just unplug one router and replace it with an different device. You have to reboot the whole network.

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug the modem.
    • Turn off the modem router and computers.
    • Plug in the modem and turn it on. Wait 2 minutes.
    • Turn on the modem router and wait 2 minutes.
    • Turn on the computers.

If that fails come back with more details, such as the state of the LEDs on the router and what you have tried to fix it.
