Please let us know if you are still experiencing the 2.4Ghz not working and/on any 2.4Ghz WiFi stability issues. This beta FW release does not include Arlo integration.

Netgear what is going wrong . It was a expensive router. and I hear nothing from you.

Do you mean that the cameras have a different IP address?

If so, then this is normal if all your IP assignments are done via DHCP. What you need to do is either set IP reservations for your cameras (preferred method), or set the cameras up with static IP.

Re: R7000 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz is fine

I understand rpoffen, but I did that, all my things I gave a static ip adres in the router, the version I have of firmware is not ok.

Do you think de beta version is ok the one without arlo?

Re: R7000 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz is fine

Just a quick follow up to Black Label - we fixed the connectivity issue and restored all the new functionality except for the ability to use the R7000 as a base station for Arlo. This is still a beta for the next couple of weeks. We would greatly appreciate any feedback from those of you who experienced problems previously. Many thanks to all of you for your patience with us, and for the feedback that led us to higher quality firmware.

For those of us with Arlo cameras, it'd be great to have the new beta with Arlo integration, too.

With the addition of new features on this beta FW, we do recommend that you perform a hard reset AFTER loading this FW and reconfigure your settings.

Is the New beta FW v1.0.5.60 release with fewer issues that the previous beta (v1.06.40_1.1.90)?

Is v1.0.5.60 really newer than v1.0.6.40_1.1.90? That doesn't make sense.

Re: R7000 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz is fine

The workaround that works for me is to enable guest mode on 2.4. When I do this, devices connect to normal 2.4. With 2.4 guest off, devices only connect to normal 5 ghz.

Just updated to the latest official firmware tonight and turned guest mode off thinking the issue would be resolved....nope. needed to turn 2.4 guest back on. I have access control off and do not broadcast the guest 2.4. Both normal 2.4 and 5 have same ssid and pass.

Thanks for the update. Hope this works out.

Unfortunately I cannot test for now due to travel since I can't risk tinkering with the router while not physically present.

We shouldn't be testing for NETGEAR anyway. Maybe the CEO needs another letter?

Re: R7000 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz is fine

HI, I tired the v1.0.5.60 and it partially brought back my 2.4ghz but then I lost my 5ghz.  Some devices like my Xbox 360 and PS3 and 4 can't detect the 2.4ghz while my phone and laptop can.  Plus the 5ghz just disappeared (Genie says it is there but non of my devices can see it).  I've changed the Auto setting to 1, 6 and 11 with no luck.  I've enabled Guest  with no luck.

I've tried rolling back 1.0.4.28_1.1.64 and I am still not seeing the 5 and with just limited 2.4. SUPER FRUSTRATED.  Any suggestions on that to try next?  I've done a hard reset each time after I've installed a different firmware.

Jaguerdat, I agree, and thank you for reminding me. I'm checking with the engineering team to find out when they can return this feature. As always, thank you for your feedback! Nifer

Re: R7000 2.4ghz not working but 5ghz is fine

Yes. The new beta firmware should provide improved connectivity in the 2.4 GHz band to address the issue identified by customers in this thread. It also fixes another issue that we found in test. We believe it is better, more stable code, and we're eager to hear any feedback you have. Thank you for your patience. Nifer

Ik heb nu version 1.05.60.1.1.86 and I did no reboot or power off or anything else and it was quick and all my settings are in the router after upgrading.

It seems good...... Now the time brings the stability......

Thanks for so far

When will you be pushing a firmware update?  Hoping this resolves the USB 3 issues, since JamesGL says this is the firmware that should address it, and I'm not being a test dummy for beta firmware.

Hi Nifer,

Any update on the Arlo feature returning? I would love to try a beta of such a firmware.

Checking in what's the latest story, since it's probably 3 weeks since we last heard from Netgear...
