Oct 20, 2020R7000 Dropping WIFI Daily
Hello,
I am on the latest software version V1.0.9.88_10.2.88. Over the last 3 days I have been experiencing random dropouts of my WIFI 5g and 2.4g.
I went through with inSSIDer and determine what the best channel would be for me, settled on 11. Restarted the router.
I am using Spectrum cable internet, so the modem is a ARRIS TM1602. The Online, US/DS and power lights all remain lighted after the internet goes out. Seems to be a router issue.
Any new firmware updates in the last few days? Other thoughts?
Your firmware indicates you're on the R7000.
There's 2 firmwares I'd try.
First install the newest firmware which is 1.0.11.110. do it over a hardwired connection and factory reset the router once its updated and then re-install it. don't use a backup.
If that doesn't help, then I'd actually try downgrading to version 1.0.9.42. Its the agreed upon most stable firwmare for the r7000.
