R7000 Need to Open Closed ports

I need ports 80 and 443 to open to be able to have my Arlo base station access my network.  It looks like Ready Share is using these ports (they are closed when I check on https://ping.eu/port-chk/. This problem occurred when we had to get a new cable modem.  Worked fine before this.

    Who told you that?

    It isn't necessary.

Just plug the base stations into the network. No faffing around deeded.

Been there. Done that. Currently sitting here with two Arlo hubs on the network. Never had to change a thing. Just took then though the setup process.

Thanks and it did work before we got a new cable modem.  I have been trying ever since to get it online.  Lights go from Amber to Blue, from amber to Blue, and on and on.  Thought I needed to buy a new base station, but that is what tech support came up with.

Do you mean it flashes blue and amber in a sequence?

        Which hub is this?

I have a raft of hubs/base stations going way back. (Beta samples.) They all work.

Unless it is a hardware failure, I'd look at your router and its basic settings rather than any fancy port settings.

When you switched to the new modem, did you reset and reconfigure your router to get it to accept the new network settings from the modem? If you don't want to take that nuclear option, run the router through the Internet Setup Wizard.
