R7000 Speed issues

Good Afternoon,
I have noticed that over ther past month my WiFi has been dropping and the speed is not what it should be.
I have Xfinity 75/10 speed.
When I checekied today I was getting between 3-18 downlaod speed. The odd part is that upload is always 12.
I reset everything and it did not improve.
I thought a firmware update would be the best choice. I was unable to do an automatic update. The online portal kept telling that it could not connect to the netgear servers.
I downloaded the file from netgear and I am now on Firmware Version V1.0.7.10_1.2.3
I still have the same issues hardwired to the router or via WiFI.
Direct connected to my modem I get 80 d/l speed.
Are there any setting in the advanced section that I can changed to pass through the full speed?
Thank You
James

Thank You very much all for the support.
This mornign I went through more firmware changes to no avial. I went back to verify that to the modem was still good, it was not.
I called xfinity, they had to make a change on their side, noting that I needed to get up to date firmware from motorola on my modem.
All is well.

Re: R7000 Speed issues
I forgot to note,
I did a full reset after the firmware upgrade did not solve the problem.

Re: R7000 Speed issues
Okay, I didn't know you could downgrade that's good news. Are there any security threats that I need to worry about at a certain level?
Should I just go back one by one until it works?

Re: R7000 Speed issues
There are risks but if you evaluate pros and cons and if you prefer speed to safety, go for it.
Or you can wait for the next FW release.
I am just saying.
Excuse my piggy english!

Try the 1.0.7.6 or if it does not suits you the 7.2.
