I don't know about your problems but for me, going to 1.0.5.70 fixed my nightmares.

I was having speed issues on my wireless 2.5Ghz. My speeds were all over the place. I think it had to do with trying to downgrade firmware and the GUI staying the same version no matter which firmware I tried.

Have you tried the 1.0.5.70 on your router? That's the one that worked for me.

Not yet, but before I did, I was was inquiring to see if it fixed the GUI not changing before I did? I didn't want to go through all the trouble with resetting and reconfiguring everything if it didn't work for others. I had a suspicion it had to do with the GUI staying the same when downgrading to 1.0.5.64.

Well for me, it did a whole lot of difference. One thing I did and it usually isn't recommended was I saved the configuration before I updated the firmware. I know we are supposed to start from scratch but in my case, I had done it way too many times. Long story short, after saving the cfg file and updating the firmware, yes it cured all my problems. Yes the GUI is updated to the latest firmware but all is good. I don't careless if there is a newer update as I won't install it. Working on a network probleem for a week is counter productive. Right now it is solid again and I want it to stay like that.
Hope you find the same success as I did.
