Before I load this up, does it fix the 2.4Ghz to be working again?

So if mine is working without any issues and I see nothing I need here.. I'm not going to upgrade?
Are there fixes that may be important but are not listed here?

Hello, about #7. [New Feature] Supports Transmit Power Control.
Can I configure my router to run over 100%?
- IrvSpMaster
No, only up to 100%, from 25% up in 25% increments.

Eric738, not sure what you are asking for, but I don't think it belongs in the thread subject. Start a NEW Subject please that defines the problem and post that. That way someone who knows about Bittorrent should answer (or ask in a Bittorrent forum?).

ok i post in new thread.

Hi,
I cannot find this setting: [New Feature] Supports Transmit Power Control.
Does someone know where the Transmit Power Control setting can be found?
Thanks,
Anton
False alarm, found it.

R7000 NETGEAR ROUTER After updating (downgrading) to version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 Going into -- Advanced -- Setup -- Qos Setup -- Downstream Qos -- Enable Downstream QoS (Improved Video Streaming) causes Netgear Genie to CRASH (completely non responsive) it does update the center panel to say -->> The server closed the connection without sending any data. No amount of pausing to wait for recovery suffices, to get 'Netgear Geinie' functioning again requires POWER CYCLING.
Thankfully, my installation has not exhibited this problem.
- WiensAspirantThere is a typo in the release notes on the Netgear website:
https://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/30695
'(Bets)' should be '(Beta)' in the following sentence:
Supports NETGEAR Downloader (Beta). NETGEAR Downloader (Bets) allows you to directly download files from the Internet to a USB drive connected to the router. To set up your NETGEAR router, see How to configure the NETGEAR Downloader feature - LeKeiserLuminary
Hello,
There is something I don't get. How's this a new firmware? 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 ?? When the "actual" is V1.0.6.26_1.1.83
Can't be a new one...
- IrvSpMaster
That IS the newest OFFICIAL Firmware release. The beta you referenced was pulled and newer ones with V1.0.5.60 and .62 were released WITHOUT Arlo support and provided for improve stability which is the reason OLD Beta's were recalled and deleted from distribution.
If you require Arlo support, call NG for firmware that supports it it seems.

Since when V1.0.6.26_1.1.83 was a beta driver? It was the official driver that NG released and that many people had problem with. It's working perfect on my rig.
It's really stupid... Even if the newer driver are a step backward in terms of options, they should have upgraded the versions as it's supposed to be... V1.0.7 something... And so on.
First time I hear and see a newer driver with an older version :O
- LeKeiser,
The later versions were pulled. The newer versions are a step backwards in terms of function having dropped support for Arlo for the moment. I guess Netgear thought that was reason enough to swap to a lower version number. - larrypozAspirant
Elaine, after reading R7000 firmware updates posts I am confused.... I currentmly have V1.0.6.28_1.1.83. Are you saying to revert back to 1.0.5.64...?
- JoePCAspirant
1.0.5.64_1.1.88 has been working well for me. I have been using for 3 days now without any issues. My usage is pretty basic: AP, Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz), guest Wi-Fi, VPN. This firmware also fixes the slow guest Wi-Fi for me (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/Guest-WiFi-network-much-slower-than-normal-network/m-p/1065913/thread-id/29548).

If you're not having any issue then it really depends on whether you can be bothered reverting back. The main issue is that if problems do emerge, your firmware is no longer supported.
