R7900P Firmware Issue Version 1.4.2.84 / Browser Issues
After upgrading my R7900P to Firmware Version 1.4.2.84 I started getting Browser Issues.
Both Chrome and Edge would fail loading web pages.
I down graded the firmware to the last previous version, 1.4.1.68, and the Browser Issues went away.
Just an FYI in case you are having problems.
Bill
Thanks for the reply.
I didn't reset because I have been using this router for a long time with no firmware issues until now.
Also, I have been using the Armor / Bitware Protection for nearly to years, and again have not had an issue until now.
So, I am convenence it's the Firmware: 1.4.2.84. Perhaps it's a get-ready-for-Windows 11 issue.
Many software suppliers are re-writing their apps in preporation for Win 11.
I don't know, and I am running Win 10, not 11. But I've never had a Firmware issue until this version.
I'm happy sticking with 1.4.1.68 until ver 84 is fixed.
Thanks again for the response,
Bill

Di you factory reset and set up from scratch the router after applying the .84 FW version?

I upgraded my R8000P to version 1.4.2.84 today and have been having the same problems. Web pages randomly fail to load on both wired and wireless devices. I factory reset the router and the problem was still there.
I then downgraded to 1.4.1.68 and the problems are gone.
Thannks for confirming.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

I am having the same browser issues with Version 1.4.2.84. How do I downgrade to the previous firmware version?

I figured it out. I reinstalled Firmware Version 1.4.1.68 and problem solved!
Yup. Just install the older version on top of the new.
