Hi,
I looked through the forums without findind a solution to my issue. Hence this post.
I just upgrade my internet modem to 175mbps (from 100mbps) and got a new modem cisco dpc3848v. The modem is plugged directly into the R8000 which then has an ethernet cable going into my macmini. All Cat6 cables.
On both my wired computer and wireless one (5G), the download speed is stuck at 100 mbps. If I wire the modem directly into the wired computer, I get 175 mbps.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Gui

Do you have QoS enabled? If so, consider turning it off and rebooting. Or, more drastically, perform a factory reset followed by a minimal config (Wi-Fi and LAN settings).
Another option is to clone your MacMini's MAC address in the router's WAN settings.

Re: R8000 stuck at 100 mbps
Log into the R8000, click on the Advanced tab, then Show Statistics. Confirm that the WAN port is running at 1000 Mbps. If it's running at 100 Mbps, then replace the cable. Confirm that the LAN port is running at 1000 Mbps. The R8000 LAN port light should be white.
Double check that the interface speed setting on your Mac Mini is set to 1 Gigabit. You will find it in Network Preferences in the Advanced settings.

Re: R8000 stuck at 100 mbps
Hi TheEther,
Thank you for your prompt reply unfortunately still not getting the expected speed.
R8000:
- Advanced Tab > Show Statistics: WAN, LAN1 & 2 are showing 1000M/Full.
- Lights are white
MacMini:
- Wired with Cat6.
- In Network Preferences > Advanced Settings > Hardware: Configure is set to automatically and the speed is 1000BastT (greyed out).
It might not be due to the MacMini because it got the speed when the Cisco dpc3848v moden was plugged directly into it. Futhermore my Macbook (802.11n) is getting the same 100 mbps (instead on 175 mbps).
What else should I try?

Re: R8000 stuck at 100 mbps
I should add that the R8000 has the latest firmware (V1.0.3.4_1.1.2).
I spoke with Shaw cable who said that the modem being bridged simply disable's it's internal wireless and router options. And doesn’t affect the bandwidth.
Ethernet cable wise, during the troubleshooting I used a Cat6 cable between the modem and MacMini (getting 175mbps) and used the exact same cable between the modem and R8000 (getting 100 mbps over LAN and WAN). Which should rule out an issue with the cable.
Should I reset the R8000 to factory Settings?

Re: R8000 stuck at 100 mbps
Turning off QOS did it.
I now have 175Mbps download speed.
Thank you very much for your help.
