After you configure your router, you download the Open VPN configuration package. It is a zip compressed file containing four individual files.
You have to copy the individual files from the zip package and put them in the configuration sub-directory that is created when you install the Open VPN client application on your PC.

You cannot test your Open VPN setup with a device that is connected to the same network where the Open VPN server is running.
If you have a mobile device, you can shut off the Wi-Fi and test through your cell connection. If you have a laptop and a mobile device, activate the hotspot on your mobile device and connect your laptop through the hotspot.
On either a mobile device or computer, you have to start the Open VPN application and connect back to the Open VPN server before use.

On your Windows client device, after installation of the Open VPN application did you follow the instructions to rename the adapter? See attached.
